In Rogue One, Nick performed the body movements for Biston in a fabricated bodysuit with an animatronic puppeteered face. Nick wore ape contact lenses and Bistran’s eye’s are actually Nick’s.
Bistan was first revealed to fans at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 in the “Creatures, Droids and Aliens of Star Wars” panel. Got to time stamp 43:35 if you would like to watch.
